Description
In its second year, this working group shifts from creating a consensus definition and understanding of the construct of productive struggle to focusing on how productive struggle could contribute to the development of students’ sense of belonging in mathematics. Thus, we aim to bring researchers and practitioners together to explore how routinely providing opportunities for productive struggle can lead to a sense of belonging in mathematics, and developing tools and practices for supporting teachers in the creation and maintenance of productive struggle.
