The connections between the practices of computational thinking (CT) and mathematical problem solving are continuing to change mathematics education, particularly related to rapid advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) tools. This working group will continue to work toward our overarching goal of providing more equitable access to authentic mathematical problem solving through computing and refine directions for collaborative research. Discussions will focus on the critical role mathematics teachers educators can play in building teachers’ CT skills and knowledge, scaling up productive computing experiences, and leveraging the problem-solving potential of AI.
