In the second year of our working group, we will work towards our overarching goal of illuminating the Black Holes surrounding under-researched instructional activities and practices in PreK-12 mathematics education. Using an iterative process, we plan to establish joint research goals by identifying common themes and constructs across the activities and practices of interest, defining and operationalizing key concepts, and delineating appropriate research methods. Our current group spans institutions and levels of experience, and we welcome new members to join the conversation and take part in our ongoing efforts.
