Abstract

The magnitude of the noble family of the Dolphin is also represented by the books of the family, that Giorgio Dolfin in the will of 1448 asked his sons to keep. His nephew Giacomo, who died in 1507, helped to disperse donating them to friends and family. In the library of the Dolfin family manuscripts must be added the testimony of the first printed books at the beginning of the sixteenth century. The authors and titles documenting the cultural interests of the family and of the time.
