This paper investigates the early dissemination of Pontano's Urania and illustrates how the Aragonese poet used this poem as the symbol of his legacy. More precisely, I will focus on the presence of selected passages from Urania in tailor-made anthologies, letters, dialogues and visual sources. By matching the analysis of the text with the history of its fortune, I will argue that the way Pontano used this poem can shed light on its overall meaning.
