Privanza con Arte

• In Event: Spanish Comedia and Its Cognate Arts

Abstract

The art of being a privado was highly discussed during the seventeenth century, both in the popular register of the comedia and in political essays. This presentation analyzes the tenants of the political essays on the art of privanza in a systematic way that helps to study the subgenre of comedia del privado, and others closely related such the comedia del secretario and plays on friendship.
