Session Submission Type: Roundtable
The history of the Society of Jesus is experiencing a surge in popular and scholarly interests. Much of the scholastic revolution is occurring online. Several digital projects are already underway to promote free and global access to important primary and secondary sources. A collection of Litterae Indipetae, a newly translated and annotated edition of Jesuit Relations from North America, and a database of all the metadata from the early modern Jesuit triennial catalogs share with the Boston College Jesuit Bibliography and the Jesuit Studies Portal (Institute for Advanced Jesuit Studies – Boston College) a mission to support and to integrate such innovative digital initiatives. This roundtable will present each of these projects on Jesuit history and discuss how scholars might collaborate on these and other projects in the digital future of Jesuit Studies.
