Supporting Your Data Re-Use: The National Addiction and HIV Data Archive Program_

Fri, October 5, 4:45 to 6:15pm, Doubletree Hilton, Room: Fiesta II and III

Abstract

The National Addiction and HIV Data Archive Program (NAHDAP) at ICPSR at the University of Michigan makes data on childhood and adolescence publically available for secondary use by the research community. The data in the NAHDAP archive span different subject areas, scientific disciplines, geographic regions, and even time periods. Many of the datasets cover a broad set of content areas and follow children, adolescents, and their families over time. Interested researchers can search for data by subject, by methodological characteristics, by variables or questions, and also they can search through bibliographic citations related to the archived datasets within NAHDAP. This poster will highlight the data and tools of NAHDAP that are available to users that allow them to find relevant data. The presentation will also feature different types of uses of secondary data.
