Studies have suggested that sleep has implications for child health and development. Research also has indicated the important role of context in understanding this relationship. The papers offered in this symposium examine how sleep is associated with developmental and health outcomes in infancy, childhood, and adolescence. An important contribution is a focus on sleep within family and environmental contexts.
