Session Type: Federal Agency Symposium
This session will focus on the intersection of child development research with policy and practice on the federal level. Our goal is to continue the conversation from the Strengthening Connections Among Child and Family Research, Policy, and Practice SRCD Special Topic meeting last spring by examining the ways in which policy-relevant research contributes to federal program development and improvement. Specifically, presenters will consider ways in which researchers can forge collaborations with federal policy makers through the use of available data, applying for funding opportunities, participating in federal initiatives, and conducting research with specific policy implications.
