Session Type: Paper Session
This symposium considers three papers meant to inform Early Childhood Initiatives in developing countries across the world. The first paper considers how a conditional cash transfer affects children's outcomes later in life. The second paper looks at Early Childhood Development opportunities in Arab countries, and finds large inequities in across the Arab region as well as within countries. Finally, the third paper looks specifically at whether efforts in Columbia to increase low-income children's access to early education (as well as other services) has resulted in greater participation in these programs. Discussion will focus on identifying next steps to improve child development around the world in culturally and economically diverse countries.
