Biography:
Melanie Killen, Ph.D., is Professor of Human Development and Quantitative Methodology and Professor of Psychology (Affiliate) at the University of Maryland. She received her Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley. She has received NIH and NSF funding for her research on social exclusion, moral reasoning, and intergroup attitudes. She is Editor, with Judi Smetana, of the Handbook of Moral Development, and author, with Adam Rutland, of the book, Children and Social Exclusion: Morality, Prejudice, and Group Identity.
