Integrative Statement

There is a growing crisis of opioid addiction in urban African American communities in the U.S., presenting an emergent public health crisis for African American children and families. This discussion hour will host Edwin Chapman, M.D., medical expert in opioid addictions care and in care of underserved populations. Dr. Chapman specializes in addictions treatment and treatment of under-served populations as Chief Medical Officer at the Medical Home Development Group. Treatment and social policy implications will be discussed.
