Abstract

The National Institute of Justice is the research and evaluation arm of the United States Department of Justice. The Institute's mission is to advance scientific research, development, and evaluation to enhance the administration of justice and public safety. NIJ provides objective and independent knowledge and tools to inform the decision-making of the criminal justice community to reduce crime and advance justice, particularly at the state and local levels. We accomplish this mission through grants and contracts for basic/applied research, evaluations, and pilot program demonstrations. This poster will highlight NIJ’s youth-focused data and resources, the NIJ review process and the current solicitations youth related solicitations for research.
