Session Type: Flash Talk Session
This flash talk session focuses on culturally-distinct family processes across Black, Latinx, and Chinese families. Studies examine parenting, intergenerational relationships, and family dynamics. Each study employs a within-group focus to examine family processes within culturally distinct samples. Accordingly, these talks illuminate diversity within racial/ethnic groups while also building the field's understanding of how culture, race, ethnicity, and race-related stressors (e.g., discrimination) affect family processes.
