Theory of mind development and children’s representation of beliefs

Abstract
This flash talk session will concentrate on the mechanisms and factors supporting the development of the capacity to represent mental states, with a specific focus on beliefs. Talks will discuss the mechanisms supporting the early ontogeny of theory of mind in infancy, the relations between communicative and linguistic practices and theory of mind, and the pragmatic factors influencing performance on false belief tasks.
