This sessions brings together a collection of papers focusing on the interplay between adolescents' social media use, mental health, and close relationships. A wide range of methdologies, including experimental, daily diary, and survey designs are featured across a diverse range of adolescent samples. Taken together, these studies advance our our understanding of the role social media plays in both the online and offline relationships of contemporary youth.
