Session Type: Conversation Roundtable
Chairs: Jeffrey Liew (Texas A&M University) and Ekjyot K. Saini (Pennsylvania State University)
Mentorship is a key component that contributes to opportunities and successful outcomes for developmentalists in academic and non-academic settings. Similar to other BIPOC researchers, Asian and Asian descent researchers often find themselves in careers with limited diversity, a disproportionate numbers of service requests, and facing difficulties having research funded that is focused on Asian and diaspora populations. This panel will provide multiple perspectives from Asian scholars across career stages on important issues of successful grantsmanship, career advancement, and work-life balance.
Jeffrey Liew, Texas A&M University - College Station
