Session Type: Flash Talk Session
Current conceptualizations of parenting in child development are dominanted by Western notions of caregiving and focus mostly on biological parents. Yet caregiving in low- and middle-income countries can be a family affair, with extended family and siblings playing a large role in supporting and raising children. This flash talk session will present three different papers that broaden perspectives on children's caregiving environments and set forward several areas for future researchers to consider.
