The transition to parenthood presents opportunities and challenges. In this flash talk session, the transition to parenthood serves as a developmental backdrop for examining the stressors diverse parents encounter. Additionally, some of the flash talks consider familial and individual assets that may serve as protective factors in the face of stress. Collectively, the research includes mothers and fathers from diverse racial and ethnic groups.
