Abstract
The talks in this session focus on early input infants receive from their caregivers. The studies examine (1) bidirectional interactions between caregivers infant-directed speech and infants' behavior, (2) how caregivers' touch patterns and depression are related to infants' vocalization patterns, and (3) the effect of different contexts (text in stories and natural child-directed speech) make parents' produce different word types.
