Session Type: Flash Talk Session
Socio-emotional learning is an important area of child development. This session builds upon the decades of work by examining PATHS, an SEL intervention in the context of Chinese migrants. The next two sessions explore transformational SEL approaches in the contexts of culture, race, and discrimination using the PVEST models of adaptive and reactive coping with African American girls and boys. The final session explores trauma-informed SEL in out-of-school contexts.
