Families and classroom context play a critical role in children’s school readiness and success. One study in this panel examines school readiness as a result of the interactions within the classroom and interactions at home. Another also examines the stability of children’s foundational school readiness skills over time. A third study examined the association between intensive mothering and school readiness for a sample of Chinese families.
