The researchers in this panel investigate the factors associated with access to early care and education. The factors examined include a newly developed indicator, distance traveled for child care. Another paper examined the patterns of accessibility to center-based child care using latent class analysis. A third study examined accessibility by conducting a state-wide needs assessment to understand families’ perceptions on caring and educating their children. The last study explores families’ accessibility to child care during nonstandard hours.
