Job satisfaction is a multi-disciplinary concept that has produced a massive body of empirical literature. Studies have focused on the job satisfaction of managers, blue-collar workers, law enforcement personnel, health care professions and many others. Noticeably absent is a well-developed body of literature focused on the job satisfaction of members of the clergy. The present study administered the "Ministerial Job Satisfaction Scale" (MJSS) developed by Conrad Glass to a sample of 213 ministers. The results indicated a high level of satisfaction among the respondents. The presentation will address the unique factors that can impact job satisfaction among clergy members as well as discussing the viability of the MJSS in future studies.
