Plenary: Opportunities and Challenges for an Engaged STS

Abstract

This plenary session aims to showcase a range of initiatives and forms that an “engaged STS” can and might yet take. Panelists will share insights from projects in which they’ve been involved to lay ground for a moderated discussion of the possibilities and responsibilities of public engagement, political activism and advocacy, policy-making, pedagogy, transdisciplinary collaboration, and other forms of STS scholarship and engagement.
