Do some supposedly progressive feminisms and anti-colonialisms address women, gender and sexuality issues in ways that re-legitimate the widely-abandoned positivist Unity of Science projects? How does this tendency simply reconfigure Eurocentric colonial epistemological, ontological, and methodological frameworks? How is modernity implicated in this problem? This presentation will identify this widespread phenomenon, and also some innovative paths that lead beyond such familiar modern conceptual horizons.
