Innovating, Interrupting & Regenerating the Human-Technology Frontier - III

Thu, September 5, 4:30 to 6:00pm, Sheraton New Orleans Hotel, Floor: Four, Oakley

Abstract

This third and final session of the series welcomes additional interdisciplinary research from an STS lens that critically evaluates and/or is actively involved in developing projects where integrated technologies (sensors, communication, computation, virtual intelligence) are embedded around, on, and in human subjects and the environments they inhabit. Thematic questions this session will explore: How are emerging integrated technologies shaping human behavior and health in relation to natural and built environments? How are they shaping social organizations in relation to natural and built environments? What are the ethical/legal implications of integrated technologies on privacy and security?
