Presidential Roundtable: 4S Affiliations and Ecologies

Abstract

4S is an international society that links STS scholars around the world. 4S can also serve as a hub that helps link and support diverse STS organizations (including departments, regional STS organizations, journals, and so on). In turn, 4S could also become more visible and active in organizations like UNESCO and the International Science Council, helping extend the influence of STS. In this roundtable discussion, we will consider these options, related strategies and possible priorities for the 4S Council Affiliations Committee (chaired by Belen Albornoz).
