Crip Technoscience Meet-Up

Abstract

The relationship between disability studies and STS has long been a fought one, and critical perspectives on and from disability worlds have found little traction in STS spaces where deficit models prevail. But recent work at this intersection--including the recent special issue of Catalyst on Crip Technoscience--suggests the generative force of bringing disability scholarship and STS together in a mutual non-innocent project of critique. This meet up offers casual space for scholars who find themselves working at, or interested in, this intersection to get together, share questions and projects, and strategize about ways to sustain and cultivate ongoing projects. Vegan snacks provided.
