Abstract

This eclectic panel representing multiple stakeholder groups will offer perspectives on generating timely and relevant research questions, with a focus on ways to foster useful and efficient communication between academics and policy makers/professional groups. Academics will discuss challenges associated with conducting theory-driven research that informs policy and practice. Policy maker/professional group representatives will discuss challenges associated with identifying, evaluating, interpreting, and incorporating relevant academic research into their decision making processes.
