Abstract

The purpose of this Excellence in Auditing Workshop is to introduce the participants to a framework of professional judgment in auditing and more specifically, its integration into introductory and advanced auditing courses. The professional judgment framework will be reviewed, and the presenters will offer examples of tools and methods to effectively introduce the nuances of the audit context of professional judgment and decision making, related judgment biases, and de-biasing methods and techniques, into the classroom.
