Abstract

This teaching case is based in part on a real world experience of one of the authors. Students are asked to assess the financial condition of Walden Conservatory of Music. After assessing the financial health of Walden, students are asked to consider the financial strength and mission impact of Walden's major programs. The teaching case helps sharpen students' analytic skills as well encourage their use of critical reasoning.
