Management Accounting Section Midyear Meeting

The 2022 Management Accounting Section Meeting will be held in Portland, Oregon at the Hyatt Regency Portland on Friday and Saturday, January 7 – 8, 2022, with a kick-off evening reception on Thursday, January 6.

The IMA Doctoral Colloquium will be held on Thursday, January 6, with an evening reception on Wednesday, January 5.

The Teaching Symposium will be held on Saturday, January 8. The Teaching Symposium includes a series of education-focused sessions designed to complement the meeting’s research-focused concurrent sessions. All conference participants are registered for both the research and teaching sessions and are encouraged to attend any and all sessions that they find interesting.

Due to the difficulties and travel restrictions that are still arising due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we wanted to make it possible for our MAS community to get together again both in-person and, for those who cannot or do not want to travel yet, virtually. Therefore, we have done our best to create a hybrid conference in which you can either participate in-person or online. This includes some sessions that are held (only) in-person in Portland, but also several sessions in each program slot that will be conducted online. This gives all online participants a choice between different topics and methods for the concurrent sessions they would like to attend. Additionally, and importantly, the plenary session, JMAR forum, Teaching Symposium plenary, and the award presentations will be available as hybrid sessions – both in-person and two-way streamed – to allow all participants to come together in-person and virtually.
