Independent student learning is a vital part of higher education, but teamwork and collaboration is a skillset that is an accounting industry requirement. How can the grades between individual student work and collaborative student work be bridged? The introduction of student collaboration exercises and techniques will be presented. Exercise examples include student projects, flipped classroom applications and in-class problems. My results of implementing student collaboration within the classroom are increased attendance, improvement in student grades and higher overall student success rates. In addition, course statistics and student assessment results will be provided.
