| 2019 Impact the Future Conference Impact the Future: A Conference about the Changing World of Accounting hosted by the Northeast Region of the American Accounting Association, to be held in New York City, New York, October 3 - 5, 2019
Accounting faculty, professionals, and doctoral students are invited to submit their work. Submissions will be accepted for the following sessions.
Panels The deadline for all submissions is 11:59 EST on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 It is our expectation that anyone who submits a research paper will also volunteer to review a paper.
Panels Panel Sessions showcase knowledge expers on an emerging issue. Submissions may be accepted into one of three tracks:
Session proposals require a 150-200-word description of the panel session, what attendees will learn from attending it, and who the presenters will be, Submitter is responsible for overseeing panel development and presentation.
Teaching Sessions Teaching Sessions may encompass any topical area of accounting, the latest trends in pedagogy or the profession, or emerging in demands for accounting skills (i.e., critical thinking, communication). These interactive sessions can have a technology or pedagogical focus and may be accepted into one of two tracks:
Session proposals require a 150-200-word description of the session, what attendees will learn from attending it, who the presenters will be, and if any software, data files, or other technology is required. Since space on the program is limited, please note your presentation may be scheduled in a session with another presenter or accepted into the Effective Learning Strategies (ELS) Poster Session, that is presented during the reception on Friday evening. Poster display sizes and display space will be determined at a later date and ELS presenters will be notified directly of those specifications.
Research Paper Sessions Paper sessions provide an opportunity for researchers to present and discuss papers or cases that are completed or in the developmental stage. Papers and case studies may encompass any topical area of accounting. Papers can have an academic, practitioner or pedagogical focus and may be accepted into one of three tracks:
Completed papers accepted to Paper Sessions will be considered for the following awards:
Session proposals require submission of a research manuscript either completed or in the developmental stage. |
