Learning Outside of the Classroom

Abstract

A successful alumni mentoring program has been implemented within the accounting program. The mentoring program allows juniors and seniors to be mentored by alumni, while freshman and sophomores are mentored by the upper-class. Students continue their learning process by giving back to the community. Students organize funds raisers in order host events that benefit the community. The session will look what has worked favorably to get students active outside of the classroom.
