Prior research has examined the relationship of religiosity, notably its ethical impact, to business-related topics, as well as societal-related topics. This study examines the relationship of religious-based ethics, specifically, the level of Judeo-Christian ethicality in a country (measured by percentage of faith adherents in population), to economic freedom, economic activity, gender equality, and social progress. To effectively engage in modern global trade, business firms must consider cultural factors such as religiosity, which has a multidimensional impact affecting economic and social matters. Findings of this study indicate that the level of Judeo-Christian ethicality in a country has a significant and positive relationship to economic freedom and economic activity. Further, Judeo-Christian ethicality also has a significant and positive relationship to gender equality and social progress.
