This study complements the previous study by examining the content of supplier diversity disclosures from a critical perspective. I explore the supplier diversity disclosures that I analyzed in the previous study using Critical Race Theory (CRT), as the theoretical lens. CRT is a theoretical perspective that is used to examine and understand how race, racism, and power are engrained into American society and shape the experiences of marginalized individuals and communities. This study evaluates supplier diversity disclosures, policies, and programs for their potential economic impact on diverse and underutilized communities. Rather than serve as a comprehensive analysis of all aspects of CRT, this study touches on each of the tenets and themes in order to stimulate further inquiry.
