Abstract

Around the country, faculty have been forced to change their mode of instruction due to the global covid pandemic. One method that many universities have utilized in this challenging time is the hy-flex model. This allows some students to attend sessions in the classroom and allows others to attend online. There can be many challenges with this mixed form of instructional delivery. How do you keep students active in sessions and the course? How do you conduct sessions with simultaneous dual modalities? How do you get to know your students? This session will offer several solutions to those challenges. Attendees will learn how they can convert a traditional, face-to-face classroom into a hyflex classroom. Various technology tools and student engagement resources will be highlighted.
