Abstract

The purpose of this mini-workshop is to role-model how a data analytics mindset can easily be integrated into your existing instructional content rather than considered as something you add at the expense of some of your content! The focus of this method is to role-model for students how professionals think critically and skeptically while they use data analytics, whether prepared by others or themselves, to research and make professional judgments. The focus of this approach is how to teach students to create more effective data analytics strategies from objective-based questions, to interpret their process and results, and to communicate effectively to stakeholder audiences. This approach combines the problem-solving creativity, the critical thinking, and the data analytics required by the AAACSB standards. Interactive examples and dialogue will engage participants in the practice of these techniques and provide opportunities to ask questions.
