What Would My Life Be Like in Academia?

Abstract

This session is intended for practicing accountants who are considering making the career change into teaching at a university on a full or part-time basis. The panel includes department chairs who explain the role of adjunct and non-PhD faculty in accounting programs, and discuss how to best go about pursuing these positions. Practitioners who have already made the transition into academe will discuss their expectations and experiences.
