Short Abstract

Duration neglect states that after controlling for peak and end affect, duration plays only a small additive role in experiential evaluations. In ten studies we replicate duration neglect but also show that duration has an indirect effect on evaluations by intensifying peak and end, both of which then affect evaluation.
