Addressing the Hidden Knowledge and Skills of EdTPA Through an Online Training Solution

Short Description

The Educational Teacher Performance Assessment (edTPA) requires teacher candidates to demonstrate their teaching competencies. Most teacher preparation curriculums meet the explicit skills required in edTPA, but may not address the hidden knowledge and skills required to complete the video production component edTPA. In this session we describe how our teacher preparation program worked with Information Technology Services and developed online training to prepare candidates to successfully meet the video requirements of edTPA.
