Short Description

Twitter has great potential as an educational tool, but many instructional designers and educators are unfamiliar with its capabilities. The purpose of this poster is to familiarize potential users with Twitter, to explain benefits of using Twitter for educational purposes, and to share some best practices for using Twitter. When Twitter activities are carefully scaffolded and a clear purpose given for their use, Twitter can help improve social presence and establish a community of learners.
