P25 SICET: A Study of the ICT Ownership, Multitasking Activities and Motivation

Short Description

This study analyzed the validity and the reliability of two instruments-- Multitasking Activities Scale (MTAS) and Studying Assignment and Multitasking (SAMT), to examine the relationship among Taiwanese college students’ ICT Ownership, multitasking behaviors and motivation. The results indicated that students who owned laptops and desktop computer were more likely engaged in information processing- and socializing-and-self-presentation-relative activities while studying. We found that the number of students’ ICT ownership did not influence students multitasking behaviors and motivations.
