Building Teachers’ Design Capacity: Curriculum, Adaptations, Implementation

Short Description

As standards and curriculum change, teachers need support in understanding and implementing them in the classroom. Through an iterative design-based implementation research process, this project supported teachers’ capacity to understand new standards, make curricular adaptations, and effectively implement them in the classroom. Through their professional learning teachers increased their knowledge and improved their classroom practices. This session will explain this process and results and provide attendees the experience of using the rubrics.
