Essential Design Elements for Online Course Development: Using Quality Matters (QM) to Ensure Student Satisfaction

Short Description

The purpose of this study investigated the relationships between the online course design elements and student satisfaction. A review checklist and procedure were developed based on the QM rubric to evaluate 90 online courses. We found significant findings related to course design elements and student satisfaction levels. The findings and implications will be discussed to support designers to design effective online courses to meet student satisfaction.
