Short Description

Motivation enables effective learning, which directly affects academic achievement. Among several instructional approaches, PBL may help to promote motivation due to the given authentic and ill-structured tasks as well as self-directed and collaborative learning. For more accurate measurement of motivation in PBL, this proposal suggested and validated the use of artificial intelligence for real-time detection of learner’s motivation, which can be informed by the analysis of learner’s emotions using seven categories.
