AECT 2020 Convention Page
The goal of this quantitative research study was to measure one student cohort’s approach to learning and determine if students realized changes throughout their undergraduate program. Students were asked to complete the Approaches to Study Skills Inventory for Students (ASSIST) (Tait, Entwistle, & McCune, 1998) in their second and fourth academic year. Suggestions on how to design classes to encourage deeper approaches to learning and reviews the challenges and benefits of using strategic approaches.
